A New SJ Satellite Is Coming — Early Joiners Get More!

when i get this far myself i can answer the same Q..

for income, your are responsible of reporting income, so its kind of up to the moral of each node operator, but it see it this way, much of welfare in europe in general is paid with tax’s…

but for support i will have a discord server, and setup instructions etc will be hosted on the satellite directly so i dont have to maintain it seperately, i have just put a landing page in front of the default login screen and expanded that slowly, but as i also run it as a one man show i will have to limit where i have to update stuff as i go along

EDIT: for my compose file adventure, so far this file creates an identity:

version: "3.7"
services:
  identity-worker:
    image: alpine:latest
    container_name: storj-identity-worker
    volumes:
      - *:/app/identity
    entrypoint: ["/bin/sh", "-c"]
    command:
      - |
        apk add --no-cache curl unzip
        curl -L "https://github.com/storj/storj/releases/latest/download/identity_linux_amd64.zip" -o /tmp/identity_linux_amd64.zip
        unzip -o /tmp/identity_linux_amd64.zip -d /tmp
        chmod +x /tmp/identity
        /tmp/identity create storagenode --identity-dir /app/identity

@kocoten1992 you can use my compose file above when you are going to create setup instructions, the * is where the identity should be when its created

EDIT: it completed just fine

lty so far: 37

Found a key with difficulty 37!

Generated 636138000 keys; best difficulty so far: 37Unsigned identity is located in "/app/identity/storagenode"

Please *move* CA key to secure storage - it is only needed for identity management and isn't needed to run a storage node!

	/app/identity/storagenode/ca.key

EDIT2:

next step is to run a short setup that creates all folders etc

version: "3.7"
services:
stork-setup:
image: alpine:latest
container_name: storknode1-setup
volumes:
- type: bind
source: *
target: /app/identity
- type: bind
source: *
target: /app/config
entrypoint: ["/bin/sh", "-c"]
command:
- |
apk add --no-cache curl unzip
curl -L "``https://github.com/storj/storj/releases/latest/download/storagenode_linux_amd64.zip``" -o /tmp/storagenode_linux_amd64.zip
unzip -o /tmp/storagenode_linux_amd64.zip -d /tmp
chmod +x /tmp/storagenode
/tmp/storagenode setup --config-dir /app/config --identity-dir /app/identity

and the final compose file looks like this:

version: "3.7"
services:
storknode1:
container_name: storknode1
restart: always
stop_grace_period: 300s
image: storjlabs/storagenode:latest
ports:

- "14004:14002/tcp"
volumes:

source: *
target: /app/identity
- type: bind
source: *
target: /app/config
environment:
