When your node started to fail audits because of missed or corrupted data, there is a high probability that all remained data is affected too. To make sure the satellite must download every single piece to check it, for the same price as a repair. But unlike repair, the audit worker will not recover piece if it’s corrupted.
And the repair job may be never triggered for this segment, if the customer would delete it.
