Getting payed to Kraken address with MiCA

I don’t remember seeing this in Node operator T&C, did Storj finally change it?

It is already implemented, please opt-in to zkSync Era and withdraw funds whenever and however you like. And the fee likely would be less than L1 → L1 transfer.

Either you or I misunderstood. Are you saying there is a way to not get paid every month and rather when the node operator requests a payment on zksync era?

I think he meant: You get paid every month to a wallet. And then you can transfer those tokens at any cadence anywhere else

But this is absolutely not the same thing. Nobody wants to hold storj. And as soon as you don’t sell payout immediately — you are holding. And selling on L2 is not feasible because spread.

So I disagree with Alexey

I meant that you will be paid every month on your wallet address on L2 in STORJ tokens and you can withdraw them when you want and to what address do you want. However, you need to check with the bridges that they allowed to use a different L1 address than yours, otherwise it would not have any benefits unless you can use/sale STORJ on L2.

Reporting back about Bitvavo as farming address… on the first payout from Storj, they requested details about the sender, even though it was under 1000€/$. They ask you to choose if it belongs to an exchange or it’s a personal address. I choosed an exchange from the list and that’s it.

It could be as well that they only identify but not verify the information as the limit of EUR 1.000 was not exceeded (yet).

I can only repeat what they state on their website: https://support.bitvavo.com/hc/en-us/articles/33838389808913-Why-do-I-need-to-submit-additional-details-for-my-deposit-or-withdrawal

Please keep us posted because this could be very interesting according to what is written on their page but also in the eba guidelines.

Let’s see if the amount and future amounts will get credited successfully. If the Bitvavo statements on the website are correct, it should not get credited and according to the guidelines providing false information may even lead to account termination and/or reporting to authorities.

The really interesting questions are:

  1. Is the address now marked as owned by you and what will happen to other customers who receive Storj payout to their Bitvavo addresses? Normally they should not be able to claim that this address belongs to them too and they would be linked to personal data as receiving crypto from you.
  2. It also could be that now the Storj sending address is burned on Bitvavo and no other customer will be able to claim it is their address, all customers having received funds from that address might get booted for violating Bitvavo terms and/or reported for money laundering.
  3. If Bitvavo digs into the blockchain and sees the volume originating from the sending address which is now associated with you, I don’t know what they will do or are supposed to do, it’s a dutch company as it seems.

Yes, you are right. This is not the way. I will switch to a personal wallet, too.

Please do not try to circumvent regulatory requirements, it can harm everyone.

If they require to use your own wallets for any transactions to/from the exchange, please follow them. You can at least lose your funds or be declared a criminal with all the consequences that entails. Please take care of yourself and be careful.
