Since Black Friday is coming up soon I was thinking of keeping an eye out for a good deal on an SSD drive. Is it worth it? There are some 4TB drives going for less than £500 now.
Also, the hardware specs for running a node seem to be pretty low, are these likely to stay as they are as I’m also thinking of ordering a couple more Odroid HC1/HC2
Please, do not buy anything with purpose only for Storj, you will not have a ROI any time soon. Buy it if you will use it for something else too.
Neither good SSD, nor good internet connection have a guarantee that your node would be used more.
We highly depends on customers and their activity. The hardware plays a little role in a peer to peer network.
