How to see my Storj Token on zkSync on Ledger Live?

The article describes how to connect to zkSync Era via Metamask, because Ledger doesn’t support zkSync Era directly in their UI. They use Metamask as an UI for your Ledger, it doesn’t expose your private keys.

I am confused, is my Ledger account now “in MetaMask”?

No, even though your Ledger Ethereum account is visible in MetaMask, the private keys (recovery phrase) responsible for managing that account are still safeguarded by your Ledger device. MetaMask does not have any access to your private keys. Your Ledger device utilizes MetaMask purely as a visual interface, similar to Ledger Live.

It’s possible, that Metamask wouldn’t import STORJ tokens automatically, but you may add them:

How to add STORJ token on zkSync Era to Metamask

1. Switch the wallet account to your address (you need to have a private key from it, or the seed phrase) - in the case of Ledger they are in Ledger, so this is already done.
2. Switch the network to zkSync Era mainnet
3. Add STORJ token on zkSync Era with the contract above
4. Now you should see your tokens on zkSync Era network and your address
