I have tried to install a backup system for internet connection using two ISP providers. I am looking for redundancy to prevent a connection drop. This is unlikely, but the few drops I have had have lasted more than 5 hours, which is why I have purchased a 4G router and when configuring I verify that the Storj container does not have any activity.
My question is: Is there something on the network preventing this procedure? is there any other possible way to set up a redundant connection?
Most of 4G providers do not offer the public IP, they usually puts clients behind their NAT. In such circumstance the node will be offline.
You can try to request the public IP (more like it will cost you money), however, I’m sure they do not offer the unlimited bandwidth anyway. More like you will exhaust their limit in a few hours.
I would like to suggest you to read their TOS, especially terms in fine font.
In most cases the 4G unfortunately is not an option for storagenode.
