IPv6 full Support again

Yeah, a total legit account, not a spam one and 100% doesn’t have any relation to OP. xD

I like spammers like this, they give us oportunity to give more answers and good insight, like Alexey did, and inform others. So any bad publicity that they are trying to make, is transformed in a good publicity. Alexey handled this perfectly. Anyway, I’m not convinced that he is a spammer, maybe someone that just wanted to express his opinion right now, in a rush moment.

I’m glad that I was able to get a real picture for the situation.
However, the Brazilian IPv4 space could be very limited for sure (I do not have an actual state). However, I’m afraid that customers’ needs have a more priority at the moment.

Hi,
You are right. I’m not a customer, I’m just a Network Specialist working with Security Operations, Internet Governance, MANRS, KINDNS, Network Services, IPv6 and Best Current Operational Practice (BCOP). I am concerned with the growth of an Internet that is more secure and prepared for the diversity of emerging technologies that are to come, where IPv6 will play a very important role. That’s why I was invited to come here to participate in this discussion.
We are not asking them to work only with IPv6. IPv4 is and will be necessary until it is no longer possible to use it. What we are asking is that you create solutions where those who only have IPv6 can use your service, without the need for transitory tools that cause overhead and destroy end-to-end customer communication. If it’s so difficult, brainstorm a solution, innovate, show the Internet community that you follow good practices and thus deliver services regardless of which protocol your client will have to use.
Does the client only have IPv4? Let him demand IPv6 from his ISP if he wants to have access to all the functionality and technologies the Internet can offer. Does the content provider only have IPv4? That the customer does the same with the content provider.
Providing dual-stack solutions (IPv4 and IPv6) makes you resilient and future-proof.

I “waste my time” on whatever company I see fit.

If it’s not the company or product for you then you are more than welcome to go find your niche somewhere else, but it is quite astounding to me that you have the breathtaking presumptuousness to come to a community of people engaged in something to tell us all we are wrong and “wasting our time”.
Please, the reasons for the IPv6 limitations are very well explained and are logical.
You may or may not agree with them but ultimately the Company makes its strategic decisions based on the long term economics and technological constraints, they can’t please everyone.
You may disagree and that is obviously your prerogative but stop going on and on about it.

I think this discussion has run its course and we’re going around in circles so would respectfully request a moderator to consider locking this thread.

The customers with IPv6 only connection can use our service at least via Edge services (s3-compatible), so they would use S3-compatible applications (Cyberduck for example) to upload/download their objects. But they likely cannot access the satellite UI, since they have IPv4 only and you blocking connections from IPv6 to IPv4.

But I wonder is it really possible to do not allow them to connect to IPv4 only sites? If so, I guess they cannot access the half of the Internet and I guess they will switch from you to some other ISP who will not block their connection.

This is what I said in the first respond
