Low usage, high uptime... what can I do to improve?

Hi all,

I’ve been running for 1252h 42m (I’m almost at two months), without any downtime. I’ve got plenty of unused bandwidth (i’m in a colocation facility), but it doesn’t appear to be used. I cannot discern any issue with my node, and I understand that it could take a while to become reliable. However, I’m still only doing 1.08GB/month, and 18.35TB*h.

I’m running version 1.14.7 and I’ve earned a whopping $0.02, although this month I’m scheduled to earn $0.06, but that is likely due to the double payment.

I understand that how much data is downloaded from your node is closely related to how users use the network and that in the first month I’m being vetted by satellites, and after that I should see an increase. I can see according to the checkapi script that:

Which if I am not mistaken means I’ve had more than 100 successful audits, and no failed ones.

If you can suggest anything, other than just wait a few more months… I’d appreciate it!

Your node needs to be updated for one if your only on 1.14 were headed to 1.18 now. Nodes that aren’t updated will not get any new data.

You should setup watchtower to auto update your node so you don’t loose out on any data.

pretty lucky you didn’t get DQ from being that far behind on versions… only 4 days away from version v1.18 rolling out and if you are more than 3 updates behind you get DQ…

Also, you may just want to check whether anyone else is running a node in your subnet. You can do that here :slight_smile:

Although I am almost sure it’s because of you being so far behind on your server version. :slight_smile:
