Node in eu, no traffic from eu satellite... why?

well I think there is little adoption of SIA because their software (the customer, space renting client, what for Storj is the satellite) is just not simple enough. However, for technically inclined people, it is not difficult at all to use. It’s just not average non-techy end-user friendly. There are quite a few shortcomings, but I trust they are working on it and it will become competitive.

The more different systems there are, the better and more fluid the market is. Who knows what other ideas will come up. I just stay open to everything in the field.

As a home user I don’t need enterprise grade. What I am looking for is storage for storage. Like giving 3 TB to the project and using 1 TB of decentralized storage in exchange, is SIA like that?

With Storj you can just directly configure your account’s STORJ wallet address to receive your node earnings. They will be credited directly to your customer account so it will be added to the balance available to pay for your usage as customer. So you can use it to pay for storage, egress and segment fees.

yes, you can yourself run a host to rent out space, and run the client to upload your files to the sia network. You just need some sia coins to start.
