What?
Uninstall the storagenode Windows GUI. Delete the path “C:\Program Files\Storj” and install it again.
When you will specify the path to the storage, make sure that you selected the storage
folder.
For example, if your docker run
have had a mount --mount type=bind,source=d:\storagenode,destination=/app/config
, then the storage path in the Windows GUI must be d:\storagenode\storage
If your dashboard will show a wrong usage and/or free space, then stop the storagenode service and give me result of the command:
sls "storage.path" "C:\Program Files\Storj\Storage Node\config.yaml"
if that doesn’t work, then try
sls "storage.path" "$env:ProgramFiles\Storj\Storage Node\config.yaml"
well… I had it installed in a different folder…
D:\Storagenode\storage\config.yaml:176:storage.path: D:\Storagenode\storage\
This is a bad choice. Really.
Seems your databases are lost somehow.
Please, give me result of the command:
ls D:\Storagenode\
ls D:\Storagenode\storage
Also,
ls $env:AppData\Storj\Storagenode

This is a good sign.
All looks about right.
Please, open an elevated Powershell (with administrator’s rights):
Start-Service storagenode
Then open a web dashboard and check used space.
After that give me the last 20 lines from the log:
cat -tail 20 D:\storagenode\storage\storagenode.log

still showing 2.1 TB of free space… Could it be because it’s a 10TB RAID drive and when I had Docker, it was recognizing it as a normal drive but GUI doesn’t?
No. It’s showing 2.1 TB free space in your allocation not on the disk.
What’s your
sls "storage.allocated-disk-space:" D:\storagenode\storage\config.yaml
D:\storagenode\storage\config.yaml:170:storage.allocated-disk-space: 9.9 TB
Weird… I was seeing different numbers in GUI but never actually checked from file manager
So looks like everything is working and I will not be disqualified?
Yep.
The Windows shows space in TiB (binary format), but names it “TB”.
The Storj software is used TB (decimal format).
So, 10.9TiB it is a 12TB of capacity. The 7.17 TiB of used space is 7.88 TB actually in decimal units.
The 3.74 TiB of free space is 4.11 TB of free space in decimal units.
I’m just now realizing that the previous Dashboard could’ve been showing Used Space, not Free Space, that’s where I could be remembering the 7TB number… messed up
You can still run a CLI dashboard
In Powershell:
& 'D\Storagenode\storage\storagenode.exe' dashboard --config-dir 'D\Storagenode\storage'
