It’s not an assumption when some forum users have read every post for the past three years. Ok spoon feeding (using search!)…
As you know, we have two load-testing Satellites, saltlake.tardigrade.io and europe-north-1.tardigrade.io . We’re adding a new feature testing Satellite! This new feature testing Satellite will be another invite-only Satellite (not open to general signups, like saltlake and europe-north-1) where we will be trying new features coming to the network. It won’t be very load heavy, but we are going to be adding it to the trusted satellites list. This satellite will be us2.tardigrade.io
Recently, we’ve separated the functions out, creating a dedicated Satellite for load and performance testing (saltlake.tardigrade.io ), and shifted responsibility for uploading test data to that Satellite.
Hey @kevink , you are right. This is a new satellite that just joined the network. We are continuously improving the network.
This satellite´s first task will be to handle the switched over operation of https://transfer.sh soon. We are preparing everything to make that service more stable and available again.
As some of you might notice there is initial data being uploaded already!
Also I’m not suggesting that 0bytes of test data exist on AP1, EU1 and US1. There should be some for checking services, access, permissions, etc. but it’s not going to be load testing synthetic data.
