Why would you want to play/learn on pre-release software anyway? You can use any production satellite for that purpose.

Well, production does not allow more than 25 GB up/download. On US2 I used to have 100GB, hoped for similar here…

What do you mean “does not allow”? How are people storing terabytes of data

They pay for storing the data.

Yeah, I mean for testing, not caring about reliability etc…

 doesn’t sound like testing

So there is no public test network anymore?

There still is a public test network but it depends on what you are trying to test. The test network isn’t going to give you free storage and bandwidth. It will allow you to play with the satellite UI, test out new features you have seen in the changelog, upload and download a small test file here and there but thats it. If you need 100GB of storage for a test I would recommend free trial and later add a payment method.

I did not ask on behalf of my self, I am both node op and customer using about 20 TB of storj s3 storage for my backups. I was just trying to help someone, as I remember I could load up to 100 gb to former US2, some years ago, and as this thread reads [Please join our public test network]

Just pick one of the main satellites. There is a 30 days free trial period.

Currently https://version.qa.storj.io points to a non-existent file for the storagenode-updater. >> https://github.com/storj/storj/releases/download/v1.117.0-rc/storagenode-updater_linux_amd64.zip

My testnet node container keeps restarting as a result currently.

By accident we updated version info before doing rc release. It was done few minutes ago so restarts should stop now.
