Potential partnership with Dropscan?

Dropscan is a cloud-based scanning service based in Berlin, Germany, designed to digitize physical mail and paper documents. It functions as a digital mailbox, allowing users to receive their postal mail, scan it, and access it as searchable PDF files via a web browser or app. Founded in 2011, it is used by over 30,000 clients, including businesses and individuals, for managing paper, enabling remote work, and establishing a paperless office.

Storj cloud storage could be a great alternative storage option to AWS S3 for their clients.

Shared with the team. Do you know the rough storage usage?
I suspect that they would want to have either geofencing or geofencing + certification

Unfortunately I do not know anything about them. We just came across that solution recently and the service sounds interesting.

I did not do much research on them but it seems that more providers like that exist e.g. https://www.caya.com/automation

There must be even more services like this even in other countries and I am wondering if such a solution wouldn’t even be interesting for Inveniam as I would imagine their clients work with tons of data on paper that they need to get digitized and fed into Inveniam.

What I think what Storj could offer to Dropscan and similar services is:

  1. Referring clients to Storj like they do with AWS. This way clients would use their own Storj S3 buckets as scan destination as cheaper/safer/encrypted AWS alternative. Then each user could decide which Storj service is sufficient for him.
  2. The company could use Storj as backend for the cloud they offer to their clients. For that they might require certification, compliance and maybe geofencing. On the other hand if their clients want global accessibility for whatever reason maybe even the global network would be an option.

In both cases it would certainly help if Storj would offer a German website, German sales and support and EU/Germany based geofencing and Select datacenter options.
