Reaching the limit of capacity

… and about to move to a drive twice the size. I can just set it up again like before but on the new space and it will repair itself right?

Is there a preferred way to migrate onto a larger disk space?

Yes, there is a preferred way. You need to migrate your data/identity from your old drive to the new one or your node will be disqualified. This can be accomplished in different ways depending on OS. I suggest giving this FAQ article a read and if you have any questions, update us here.

I would add that your node could be disqualified, if you migrated only identity or only data to a new system, because you need both.
The full node would not lead to disqualification.

The other option is to run a new node with a new identity and different external port and new disk. In such a case you would have two nodes.
