Ok, I’ve from the other user. Speeds have marginally improved for them, we’re talking ~15m to upload a 1gig file, but still slower then my connection (8ms to upload 1 gig, comparable to speeds I get from Google Drive uploads).
I’m now calculating transfer times (and by proxy, speed). Here’s the results from a bunch of uploads over the past days.
Mostly American based. All of these were to the generic gateway subdomain.
I just want to follow this up. Approx. three or four days ago I ran another set of speed tests and things appear to have really turned a corner speed wise. Here are the current results:
I also had a great conversation with Adam from Storj and over the course of an hour he outlined the steps they had taken to remediate some of the routing (and other) issues that they had, in particular with regards to residential Internet connections where most of my users are based.
I’m still waiting on feedback from a couple of users but the majority have also noticed a massive improvement in speeds.
