This is a gimmick, to make customers feel good – it does not need cooling. This is a low frequency, low complexity asic, it will be barely warm, definitely not enough power dissipation that the PCB cannot handle on its won.

The LSI HBA boards have massive heating because they actually need compute power to handle raid (if configured) and high speed multilane SCISI. This is not the case here

Absolutely, every half-successfull marketplace does. I don’t have a problem with dynamic pricing per se — ultimately, I make a final decision “do I want to buy this product at this price right now?” Yes - they get sale, at the price I’m happy with, no — they don’t.

I’m against such blatant half-assed implementation of this. “Delete garbage from URL to get 30% off” is insulting.
