Fully distributed systems simply don’t require any trust as everything is out in the open by definition. I for one am happy that there is a diverse set of approaches. I think those fully decentralized systems will encounter many other hurdles around performance and SLA’s in particular. Every approach has its pros and cons. With Tardigrade it requires trust in a party, but you can also hold a party responsible for an SLA. Depending on the customer that could be a hard requirement.
