You’d have thought I’d have learned to check the dates first, based on the number of necro threads that jump to the top.
But I haven’t.

It’s a crappy discourse design that puts “new and unread” into the same pile. Allegedly, to “boost engagement”. Evidently, this works.
I do this all the time. Half of the time realizing before posting and deleting the freshly typed rant.

That’s why I only go from the main page into the posts. There it’s sorted from new to old. And I never click on the “recommended” post, because they are all pretty old and I don’t want to end up posting on 4 year old posts
