Can somebody suggest a SSD for Storj Nide. Or is it a bad Idea to use a SSD ?
For storing data it’s probably a bad idea, it’s too costly. For databases, well, should not be necessary, but it helps in some setups. As a cache right now it may save a couple tens of milliseconds for each upload (better chances to win races), though it needs to be very durable.
I like this guide for selecting among consumer SSD, anything classified as entry-level and above (i.e. not garbage) should suffice for databases. I don’t know much about enterprise SSD.
