please stop spamming about how to pay in storj or $ or Eur. In the contract(Terms and Conditions Node Operator Terms and Conditions
Written that you get compensation in storj tokens, that’s all.
when you start operation you are agreed with terms.
you All forget that storj pay to people in 100 countries or something like that amount.
Stablecoins are out of discussion. I don’t think it will change, the same as fiat payouts to 124 countries. Helpers are not free, so it may reduce the final payout and increase expenses for the additional unneeded manual paperwork for both sides.
Please don’t think that’s easy to pay as in US and in some cases in EU.
The current system is optimal at the moment.
I think just a payout provider isn’t enough; mandatory papework is also required, compliant with all regulations in all 124 countries. It seems not everyone fully understands how complex this is. Even simple W8-BEN got so many frictions..
Perhaps there are other providers that can do this for you, like Deel or similar, but then all SNOs must be contractors or employees, there are mandatory rules governing this x124, and so on, plus additional fees. All of this could easily lead to payouts being…
There are like 5000 SNO that all agreed to be SNO based on the present T&C, including to be payed in Storj token. On this forum we are very few active, and like 10-20 SNO that advocate for changing the payment method. We should not forget about the rest and not speak for everyone else. Maybe the majority are OK with the current way and dosen’t want any change.
I, at least, don’t want fiat payments. I would like stable coins, if that was an option. But between fiat and Storj token, I will always…
As I said:
I don’t know, how much your providers would charge, but I guess, not less than other which I used.
Would you agree on 50% payout cut?
Because it depends on how much these providers charge, some have a fixed amount based on number of recipients, some just take their percent for each point - the paperwork, the transfer, taxation, etc. Also depends on the used transfer method, some may take 30% only because of the used payment method. The resulted costs should be covered, right?
So, from what they should be covered? They also usually charge both sides!
For example, my provider charge me $10 for SWIFT + some almost random sum by…
I can only provide this site:
I didn’t hear anything about changing the payout system.
And it’s costly. Why do we need to increase costs? I just don’t get it.
Should I copy the whole thread? We’ve been talking about this for ages.
TL;DR: Without taking into account regulatory issues (which I’m not an expert on), it’s too expensive. If you really need fiat payments and are willing to accept a significant reduction in payments (or pay the fee yourself for keeping of your account on the payment provider) plus a ton of paperwork (which you’ll likely pay for upfront), then I can offer this to the team as a way to cut costs. Because all alternatives involve increased costs, both in terms of money and the time of everyone in the company.
