I believed I had turned off used space filewalker.

According to @clement

In my run command I have `--storage2.piece-scan-on-startup false \ --pieces.enable-lazy-filewalker false \`

and in my logs I see:

```
How can I stop the used space filewalker from running completely?
Try to use a different notation:
```auto
--storage2.piece-scan-on-startup=false \
--pieces.enable-lazy-filewalker=false \

```
Make sure that they are provided after the image name.
To turn off the used filewalker I used the config file
Parameters passed through a command line arguments have a precedence above parameters in the `config.yaml` file. You just need to make sure that they are passed to storagenode (not to docker, so thus requirements to place them **after** the image name in your `docker run` command). But generally - you are correct, they _also_ can be specified in the `config.yaml` file.
For the docker setups it’s not so convenient, especially if you use `docker compose`, though.
