So, for some reason the node did not delete the expired pieces when it should have. Why garbage collection did not delete them either?

A lot has already been said in this topic about TTL expiration and GC: That’s one possibility. Another one is that the deletion of expired pieces doesn’t work reliably. In this case no. On SLC even with no GC for a full month all pieces should get cleaned up by the TTL entries. @littleskunk, Yes, while it’s true that TTL data should automatically be cleaned up after expiration, I’m starting to wonder if @donald.m.motsinger might be right about the issue with TTL data not being properly…
