I don’t use vpn, 100mbps isp, not usb

hat can i do to improve this?

The only possible improvements - to have a local connected drives and do not use a network connected ones.  
Also, do not use a SMR drives. If you forced to do so, then run several nodes, it should reduce the load on those slow drives.
