Web dashboard says offline CLI and Uptime robot report online

The web Dashboard gives an “Unable to connect” error.
The CLI seems to be working and the Uptime robot service says the node is up. I checked the logs and there were no errors. Is there anything I need to do? I would hate to have the node disqualified because of something I don’t understand.
Thanks
Ilan

Are you using Chrome/Firefox/Edge to check your web dashboard ?

Hey guys,
I have sometihing similiar. Since today it shows in my firefox dashboard, that the last contact was 58 min ago. When I let some minutes go, it shows more. After updating the page it again shows 58 min. I think it is since the last node update.

Dominik

@dominik usually after reloading the page it solves it resets, just a side question do you have the correct time set?

@Skyblockpro1 okay, it worked out. Yes the right time is set. The fault was on two different nodes.

From where you tried to open a dashboard?
Try to use the remote access instead: https://documentation.storj.io/resources/faq/how-to-remote-access-the-web-dashboard

Yes. I tried on both browsers.
Same results.

Thanks
Ilan

Hi.
I am inside my network.
Since my last message the Web interface is willing to connect, but is showing the node offline. Even though the CLI is showing progress in Bandwidth and hard drive usage.
Just weird.
Ilan

Do you see a NodeID on the dashboard?
What the command on the host with a storagenode says?

curl -L localhost:14002/api/sno

just a stupid question here, isn’t this like 1.12.3 or whatever it was called where the dashboard refresh button didn’t work and one had to use the browser refresh button for the dashboard to refresh…

curl -L 192.168.1.184:14002/api/sno
curl: (7) Failed to connect to 192.168.1.184 port 14002: Connection refused

So, something is going on here…
What should I do?
thanks
Ilan

What is actual local IP on the PC with storagenode?

ip -f inet address

Please, stop and remove the container and update the IP in the docker run command to the actual one, or even better - to 127.0.0.1 then run the container again and try the command

curl -L localhost:14002/api/sno

Hi.
The web Dashboard to one of my nodes is reporting that it is offline after I rebooted it. But the CLI and Uptime Robot report that ti it online.
This is the last 20 lines from the log:
sudo docker logs --tail 20 storagenode

Most of the events were downloaded pieces. Is there anything I can/should do?
I really would hate to lose the node because of an issue I don’t understand.
Thanks.

This is duplicate of

Thank you, @Alexey
You fixed it. I appreciate it.
Have a great evening.

ah the good old network configuration equivalent of:
Customer: halp my computer isn’t working
IT-Support: have you tried turning it off and then back on again?
Customer: doesn’t do anything
IT-Support: is the power cable connected and turned on
Customer: oh… that worked thank you so much…
IT-Support: O.o

@kofiko
maybe you should consider using a static ip address, if for some reason DHCP isn’t required…
or a dns name stuff like that can make life a whole lot easier when navigating around this stuff… i duno why your dhcp server changes your ip’s because in most cases it shouldn’t, but it can ofc happen.

personally i use static ip’s for my nodes, that way i don’t need to keep track of what ip’s they have gotten this month, day or week, for whatever reason… they will take the same ip address every time… sure they can overlap… but i change the dhcp server to exclude part of the port range i use… else if you just make sure the ip is empty when you setup a new node or whatever, then the dhcp server will figure it out and keep the lease for whatever ipaddress you chosen for the node… no configuration required…

ofc in a more non home users environment that can be … tricky at times, admins get so warm a funny when one tinkers with their infrastructure, but yeah… static ip’s saves a lot of trouble in relation to storagenodes…

and if your ip changes, no isn’t all your forwarded ports closed?
