What happened with trash?

The data reported by satellites did not show that for my nodes. So I’m still thinking it was not paid at all.

I see I combined bump in the graph. So it looks paid. But it’s not much, because it looks like it was just half a day.

Edit:
On my normally 16Tb node, that had almost 18Tb at the time, the day has 0,5Tb more than the other days in the graph

Could this be the reason for this GE strange behavior?
https://forum.storj.io/t/graceful-exit-guide-new-procedure-as-of-2023-10/23882/42?u=snorkel
Can “restore from trash” cancel a Graceful exit in progress?
My logs show like 4h of “retain send pieces to trash” each day for the last couple of days, for that node.

If you start the GE the node stops receiving traffic, don’t it?
Do you now receive traffic again? Or is this now in a broken state, were you don’t have progress anymore but don’t get traffic too?

We are sorry for inconvenience. It’s a paid trash, delayed until we figure out why the problem has been arise.
After that it should work as expected.

It should not. At least I do not see that in the code. Seems a different issue. I have reported it to the team, but I cannot reproduce it on storj-up, so, perhaps would take a lot of time to figure out.

Did you restart it?

no. It will not. It will still receive a traffic (I’m not sure about this one, though, but it definitely handle the GET and GET_REPAIR requests) and working as a normal node (because it doesn’t need to transfer data), so when 30 days are passed, it should just end, or DQ your node, if it has had less than 80% of online score during these 30 days.
Everything else should be handled by a repair workers.

I didn’t restarted it; I’m waiting for 10 days to pass, to let the data and trash clean up itself, if the GE succeded. Than I will delete all dbs and restart a startup scan. We will see…

This needs to be the title of a country song.

Oh ok, then I understood it wrong. Sorry.
I had in my head, that the node will start to slowly get rid of the data and stops receiving normal traffic. But guess I have to do homework and reread the GE process. Thank you.
