Amazon moving 10 Petabytes of Ukrainian critical data into their cloud

The last paragraph is interesting as they are even turning their support into new business:

Since the project began, other countries have told Amazon they’re interested in out-of-the-country cloud backups of government data. Maxwell wouldn’t say which countries but noted keen interest from East Asia.

Maybe they should know that their data is much safer in decentralized storage than sitting in a localized datacenter

If Ukraine had their data on Storj DCS, they could relax. Russia could not bomb their data away…
No emergency transfer needed.

It would certainly be interesting to see Storj nodes in Russia host pieces of Ukrainian government data.

I’m sure there would be quite a few of us that would even be willing to provide storage free of charge for this endeavor under the right conditions…
