Hi,
I am currently doing final sync of my node which will take about 8-12 hours , my node already has 95% online status, due to failures in copy cople of times. This time should work, however im wondering if i can have longer maintenace time without being disqualified ? Maybe i can ping admins/tech team or similar ?
Hi, you will be disqualified only after the node drops below 60%. So about 12 days if I remember correctly. So stay calm and turn off the node and sync it calmly. As soon as it is online again within 30 days it will recover all the percentages. The only thing you will see is a greater deletion of your data if the sync exceeds 4 hours of downtine
Sorry, i have indicate disqualified but it’s not true, you will be SUSPENDED after 12 days and 60% of downtime. For the disqualify you must be offline for over 12days and not return the percentage of uptime over 60% in the next 30 days.
Yeah people have had nodes go down for more than a week with no problem. A couple days for migration won’t be an issue
Actually you can do an online sync, also it’s recommended to reduce the allocation below the usage - it will stop uploads to your node, so the final sync would be much shorter.
But as others said - your node can be offline up to 12 days, then it would be suspended (again, no uploads) and you would have a week to fix the issue. And yes, the longer the node offline, then more pieces could be removed later due to a repair to other nodes.
Please do not forget to add a --delete
option to your final rsync
command to remove deleted files, otherwise you may end with corrupted databases.
Also, many reported, that rclone
works faster,
