Ap1.storj.io:7777

Since a couple of weeks ap1 storj io:7777 thinks my nodes are offline, The other ones are reporting that my node is 99-100% online. Happened at about the same time as my nodes are reporting that quic is misconfigured, however the config hasn´t changed in ages, anybody else the same problems?

Which DDNS provider are you using? Do you have any security solution anywhere in the path (firewall?anti-abuse?etc)

Have same problem on 2 nodes. Got mail with 2 node ids about offline on ap1, checked by hands, all accessible and connecting. Nodes show quick misconfigured to. No ddns, plain ip’s. Node location is Russia.

Hello @rooie1971,
Welcome to the forum!

Please search in the logs “ping satellite failed” and provide them here.

@974ffa23d764cf444641 please post here or in the PM the address of your node with port.

Not using DDNS, have a static IP on a fibre and it runs under my own domain. Ports for storj are open in iptables. If they were closed the other satellites would have connection issues as well, wouldn´t it?

Who hosts your domain? Who resolves it? Cloudflare or some small local provider?

Show the “ping satellite failed” or similar log entry from the logs.

In the meantime change external address to IP in the node config to rule out your dns provider flakiness. DNS is hard. Most fail to deploy it properly for worldwide operation.

failed to resolve IP from address: :28967, err: lookup ** on 10.91.0.10:53: read udp 10.85.2.4:50861->10.91.0.10:53: i/o timeout", “errorVerbose”: "ping satellite: check-in network:

Seems my dns servers are unreachable by that satellite. Good tips to search the logs for ping satellite thanks. Guess the ddos filter got active somehow on that dns server…

Your domain is not resolvable. So, seems your DNS server has a wrong configuration.
