It’s getting worse and worse
I think we should switching to use USDT/USDC for payment.
How is it possible that a project like this ended up this way? I still keep asking myself that.
Yeah USDC-Payment would be great. I also don’t unterstand why Storj is holding onto it’s coin. The team doesn’t seem to have the Tokens anyway, they need to buy it infront of the payment. But when you need to buy the STORJ-Token you can also just buy USDC-Tokens and cash them the same way out.
One advantage of the own Token is that you can reprint it and reincrease the supply.
Now Binance listing is dead, it will be hard to buy the token for payment. I wonder what the team will do now.
They can buy the tokens from the SNOs uniswap etc
We are not surprised:
not only Binance:
The project is over, I lost quite a bit of money and closed my position at a loss. People no longer have any trust in it. The truth will come out eventually.
Fk around find out, no exchange is going to keep this coin listed and hurt crypto buyers. If a coin under performs and all it does is dump its going to get delisted. It’s also being delisted in Korea around 09/12.
Because of greedy management. They dumped and sold company, the new company dumped more, exchanges see this project as a major risk.
They should not buy a token that SNOs no longer can exchange or only at high risk and volatility.
•In October 2024, when Winegar became CEO, Storj was talking about very strong growth, and Ben Golub even wrote that the balance sheet was solid and that 2025 would be a year of significant expansion.
• In October 2025, following the acquisition by Inveniam, Winegar said the deal would give Storj more resources to grow. Inveniam also stated that the STORJ token would continue to play an important role in the ecosystem.
• Then, around March 2026, Winegar stepped down as CEO, announcing it himself on LinkedIn. In April, the forum identified Perry Offer as the new CEO, while the company’s official communication about the leadership transition appeared to be very limited.
•On July 26, 2026, Storj filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, stating that the main reason was “legacy liabilities,” meaning obligations and debts originating from before the company’s current strategy.
•In 2024 and 2025, the public was being shown a company experiencing strong growth. Just a few months later, the CEO stepped down, and Chapter 11 followed shortly afterward.
•I’m addressing everyone on the forum: how do you interpret the team’s behavior?
since the acquisition by Inveniam Storj in generell is very quite with communitcation. Dont forget, that the last token report is Q4 2024. Transparency is quite missing since then
I can understand why exchanges sees the risks around the token and delisting it. But that gives uslittle room to use the tokens from SNO payouts…
maybe we have luck and with community operations, they want to re-list them. until them the token is under even more pressure. I (for myself) dont have anything against the token. Storj themself missbehaved just too much with it. It makes payout for sure cheaper and easier. But this post was just intendet as a warning that people have to change their deposit adresses.
Binance being weird is old news. We should not care. There are plenty exchanges that are not petty.
We need an official statement from the Storj team about this. It’s meaningless to receive a token that lacks liquidity and can’t be exchanged to cash.
