Can TRASH be abused to fill up the network space?

I understand that when a client uploads data and deletes it, the data goes to TRASH folder for 7 days.
Can this be abused by a malintended client to fill up the entire storage space on the network using some script that uploads files and deletes them continuously?
What mechanisms are in place to prevent this abuse?

Good question. The team has been discussing ideas around certain features like what you described to prevent abuse as well as enhance accounting. I don’t have anything immediate to share with that, but it is being discussed internally. In the short term, the engineers have monitoring in place to look for trends that may indicate abuse and will raise the priority if it becomes necessary.
