Confusion on Account Billing

My Billing happens with Funds, which originate from STORJ tokens.

Checking the invoices from the last months, there is always a position “Prior Stripe Customer Balance”. This seems some sort of carry over from the last month.

For Example:

  • The March Invoice has a position “Prior Stripe Customer Balance → $0.49”. This is the total amount of the February Invoice.
  • The February Invoice has a position “Prior Stripe Customer Balance → $0.38”. This is the total amount of the January invoice.

Is it normal, that I have to pay the amount of last month again next month? So kind of a double payment.

Please note that our payment processor only charges your payment method if the total balance owed is at least $0.50, this applies to any payment method including STORJ token. So, unless an invoice shows a line with the text “Storjscan Token payment” - your balance from STORJ token deposits has not been charged, but whatever you owed for usage for that month has just been added to the total owed from the month before. So the payment processor just keeps accumulating the amounts owed for each month until the $0.50 threshold has been reached or exceeded, at which point your balance from STORJ token deposits will be reduced by the total owed for all prior months since last time your total had reached or exceeded the $0.50 threshold. You can confirm this by comparing your invoices from January and February to the one issued on March 4, 2026. You are not being double charged, your prior balance is just getting forwarded to next month until we reach the threshold that triggers charging the total to your balance.
I agree that the way the payment processor represents these prior balance items on the invoices may be confusing. If you want to discuss in more detail about your particular invoice details, please file a support ticket.
