Current state of subnet rule

In v1.108.3 release notes there was a notice about a change to subnet rule.

406c2c3 nodeselection: support subnet filter with any bit size (/25)

I wonder if this is implemented now? If so, what rule satellites are using atm?

Hello @alpharabbit,
Welcome to the forum!

Nothing has changed. IPv4 - /24 subnet, IPv6 - /64.
But, now we have a possibility to specify /25 for IPv4 (no plans about that so far).

How does it work if two nodes are in the same v4 /24, but different v6 /64s? Does it just use one when v4 customers are uploading, and one for v6 customers?

Yes. However there is almost no customers with IPv6. In fact, our satellites returns IPv4 only, because otherwise the network will split, and the customers may lost access to their data (the data will be there, but for example not available on IPv4, if the node is IPv6 only).
So, it’s better to have a dual stack if possible, but public IPv4 is mandatory.
