I know it’s possible to host a static website, but does it make sense for storj, if people do that? I think for storj it is better if the files to be stored are larger (if possible at least 60 MB), isn’t it? Websites have by design tons of small files which are only some KBs in size.
I think yes. Such sites usually have a stable egress, thus SNO have been paid more.
If regarding the segment size - maybe it’s not effective, but still useful.
How are small files handled which can’t be split into the desired amount of parts? Also regarding expansion factor?
This only applies to super small files for which the data itself is smaller than the metadata would be. Those files are stored in line instead of the metadata on the satellite.
