Continuing the discussion from Let Storj Rise Again:

We have seen some traction here in this poll:

However the number of new responses in that thread is low and therefore the poll is slowly drowning and might be missed by some interested users.

We also saw some traction in that poll where the majority stated it is still seeing a future:

So with that in mind I would like to hear from you once more what financial capacity you can mobilize so we can see what number the community might be able to achieve together.
I have made a table. (@Alexey, maybe we can put that into a wiki, so that anybody can enter their own values there?)

The core and very serios question: How much monetary capital are you willing and able to invest to get the company to emerge from Chapter 11 and return to operational stability?

We’re seeking to understand the total investment capacity available. At this stage, we would like to receive only serious offers. It is not binding yet but please enter only amounts you are genuinely prepared to invest and which you could deploy on short notice.

Investment Structure: We are currently considering two forms of investment:

  • Equity investment = ownership stake with return from profits
    and/or
  • Debt investment (loan/credit)

Please complete the table below with:

  1. Your name
  2. Loan amount (if applicable)
  3. Equity amount (if applicable)
  4. A note indicating whether both apply simultaneously or one exclusively

Like in the sample line, the user would be willing to invest $10K: $5K as loan + $5K as equity.

If you cannot enter your offer into the provided table, please respond to this post with your offer with the information requested from the table.

User Name Loan Amount (USD) Equity Investment Amount (USD) Both or Either one
Sample Name 5.000 5.000 Both

So let’s see, if we could possibly raise a substantial amount. At the end we aim to keep the number of equity holders as low as possible to ensure homogenous alignment with the vision and future goals, and to avoid endless complications in decision-making, shareholder disputes, and conflicts of interest.

Depending on the feedback we will see how we can proceed.

Anybody who posts how much they have available to invest, in a public forum…

…was dropped on their head as a child :winking_face_with_tongue:

First of all storj needs a marketing genius willing to lead the company. If such person showing up and I like the business plan I will (maybe) thinking about investing money.

I converted it to the wiki. However, the history will show the editor, so unlikely it will be used.

Folks may not post publicly, but we could designate someone to receive DMs, and then publish summary. @jammerdan ?

Thank you.
Well probably not much we can do about that then, can we?
If somebody is really concerned to have his anonymous forum name shown, they can dm me or anybody else to and have it entered on their behalf with a fake name they wish. Or they could register with a new forum account just for that.
Else, I don’t have any other idea right now, maybe you have ideas.

We should focus on finding solutions not problems.

Yes, perfectly.
We need solutions, not problems.

If I was putting in the number, my thought is this: would my number look stupidly small compare to others?

I still want to see other numbers, but knowing as statistic not personal, don’t link the number to any person (use alias for example), you can protect big whale privacy and small fish ego but still allow community see the number.

I don’t think there will be a stupidly small number. (Maybe unless you put €1 or something). I’ll be happy to put your number in on your behalf.
Also there is nothing wrong with smaller number. Only issue I see with that is at the end when you have 2000 people as shareholder this will create friction and discussion what way to go and what vision to follow. But as loan I don’t see any issues with smaller number at all.

At the end we probably need any amount we can get to see if a realistic path to ownership can be created.

Seems to work for the Packers.
