External drive bay controller compatability

So I was thinking about getting this drive bay for more drives.
My concern would be the controller. Does it have a controller that would be able to do a drive health/smart check?

My nodes run on a headless raspbian with docker on my raspberry pi 4 8gb.
My external seagate usb drive node doesn’t seem to be able to do a smart health check (bad sectors, failing drive, all that).

According to this page: ORICO DS500U3-BK 3.5 inch 5 Bay Magnetic-type USB3.0 Hard Drive Enclosure that specific enclosure uses JMicron JMS567 and JMB575. Googling JMS567 and SMART yields mixed results.
