I am new to setting up a node and with all the stuff that comes with it like port forwarding. I followed everything step by step but I can’t seem to get things running. When I run the GUI program I get an error:
What could I be doing wrong?

error message says you’re missing port in address…
I’m running on linux and have no experience running the GUI type node…but from the Storj Docs, it looks like this is where you input this:
assuming this is your first node and you’ve port-forwarded 28967, the part that appears to be the issue in your config is the -e ADDRESS. should look like “node1337.sytes.net:28967”. Again, since I’ve not messed with the windows node version, I don’t have specific instructions on how to change this…although you could probably find your config file in the storj directory and update this…
As @dragonhogan said, you missed the port in the contact.external-address: option of the "C:\Program Files\Storj\Storage Node\config.yaml".
Please, open the config.yaml file in the Notepad++ (please, do not use the regular Notepad, it could corrupt the config) and change the option, then explicitly save the config (menu File - Save) and restart the service either from the Services applet or from the elevated PowerShell:
Restart-Service storagenode
Then check your logs and dashboard.
