Guys, what would happen if I got downtime for 1-2 days in the middle of the GE process? What happens if the IP is changed after this downtime? GE now is fixed 30d? Or I need to wait for upload all data in the network?
The guide says if your uptime remains over 80% you’re fine.
I think in many cases nothing happens in GE now (other than the wait). If the repair system detects there are lots of healthy pieces for the data you’re holding… then it will prioritize bringing up the pieces for the data on other nodes that really need it. So you’re offering the system the opportunity to grab pieces for repair: but it may not actually need any of them.
Oh and only your node Identity is important: your IP can be anything.
