Graceful Exit Guide

I am using linux server, what commands I need to use for performing Graceful exit. Actually I dont have that much linux knowledge, I use this command for checking my dashboard, I request can you guys mention the exact commands I need to follow for Graceful Exit. sudo docker exec -it storagenode /app/dashboard.sh
