I need help setting up my node

im new to this and trying it out and i need help setting it up,
i need to do the whole setup send me your number and ill pay 50$ to whoever can help me set this up and get it running

The point is: Storj does not want you to try, they want you to know what you do.
(See it as an test, if you are worthy :hammer:)
As an Node Operator you should know basic things about the subject.

I recommend you to read first:

The recommendation is to use what you have. Otherwise ROI is serveral Years and maybe never becomes profitable

Maybe you post first your already available hardware/software/internet specifications? Lokation also plays a role.

Then we are glad to help.
Welcome to the community.

And I even wouldn’t pay money for the help, because you can get enough for free and it probably will not return to you in some months.

The biggest challenge might even be adapting expectations. You don’t get rich quite soon running a node. So you must have a long term vision on the whole Storj-experience.

So, what OS are you running?
What hardware do you have available?
What do you expect STORJ to pay you in return for the whole investment you make?
How much time do you have available?

I need more help with this port forwarding

I think you should look that up using Google with your brand and type of router.

I don’t want to be judging here, but there has to be a certain basic knowledge and self-sustainability in order to run a storage node successfully. This includes these kind of things in my opinion.

You should start by reading the Docs and try to learn everything you don’t understand there by searching the vast internet. It will help you in the long run big time. If you get stuck after learning the basics, you can ask specific questions.
When you want help, it’s very helpful ( ) for us to know what hardware are you using, what software, OS, Docker or not, how the parts are connected (internal HDD, or USB enclosure), model of HDD and type SMR/CMR, how you connect to internet, if you have fix WAN IP or not, etc.
And before geting started, most important thing for you is to compare your expectations with the possible earnings (search for Earnings estimator on the forum), take note of your electricity costs and the fact that you should keep your node online 24/7 everyday.
From past expirience, you won’t get something worthy in the first year.

$50? You mean a year earning from my node just to set it up? Oh god…

No, because it’s also not in your own nor STORJs interest to do so. I mean, setting it up it’s one thing. Keeping it running and solving intercurrent problems that will arise now and then, is really a different matter and will be almost impossible if you’re not able to set it up yourself.
