It definitely looks like some kind of corruption. I would recommend running chkdsk on the drive, but even that might not be enough to save the node.

It sounds like a co-incidence. Although StorJ does use a lot of relatively small files, this kind of usage can highlight existing issues with a drive due to the number of reads. It could be worth running the drive through a full disk read and write test, then examine the SMART data to check for any…

You can ‘zero fill’ the drive in command line - How to Write Zeros to a Hard Drive Effortlessly? Then use CrystalDiskInfo – Crystal Dew World Standard to check the SMART data.
