can I reduce the space on the docker and the node will reduce the used storage and stop receiving uploads?
When you reduce space it will stop accepting new uploads. Whenever your node starts deleting the used space, you will get your space back.
Remember to change space and restart your node. Watch web dashboard for the changes to reflect.

No it’s not a problem - you are allowed to reduce the assigned storage space in the config.

Keep in mind that data will only be removed if customers delete that data though. It will take a long time for the used storage to be reduced.
