Interesting that overall stats show ingress gone down but my personal stats show it go UP, coincidence?

I’ve noticed that the satellite averages are fluctuating significantly once again. I haven’t investigated further yet, but could this be related? It indicates that the overall average over all nodes has dropped by 10%, which seems unlikely to be real.
Likely yes. Please wait until the issue would be resolved.

In the meantime it had somewhat recovered, but is going down again significantly, so again it is likely not showing correct data.
Average down 10% now while payout estimation for the month increases…
If you are talking about the node dashboard, then I can see a missing reports from US1 and Saltlake as usual.
My nodes still see an increasing usage over the month.

Thanks for checking. So we still have this issue. The speed at which the average number is decreasing made me think this cannot be real. But it is a shock to see the number fall every time this is happening.
This is how the average works 
… when fed with wrong data.
If data is missing, it does not mean the value is 0. That’s why all these average calculations turn out wrong when data is missing.

Exactly. Garbage in - garbage out.
It’s a classic fundamental misunderstanding of difference between NULL and 0. Between lack of a value and zero value. Missing data != zero, and missing data shall not be substituted with zeros in any calculations. Pretty basic stuff, brought up on this forum incessantly.
Storj (and related third party tools for some reason) consistently show nonsense. This has been reported multiple times, but it’s “low priority”. It’s not a bug in the implementation – it’s coded as designed. It’s the design that is wrong.
