Is migrating from ARM to Intel x86-64 possible?

Hello

is migrating from ARM to Intel x86-64 possible? or I need to create a completely new identity

You can migrate to Windows. If you search the forum you will find others who have done it.

I haven’t found the answer yet and it’s not about Windows.

I am using an ARM-based SBC and I need to migrate to an Intel-based NUC (basically a PC). Since I generated my identity on ARM, I think I might have a problem. Both configs are linux/docker and the file system is not an issue.

My first thought was trying to emulate ARM on a PC with QEMU but I’m afraid it would be laggy (afaik the implementation isn’t great).

I have done it. You do not need to do emulation

The node data and identity are platform agnostic. You can just move your config and identity folders to the new system and run a new Docker container from there, pointing to the old files and identity. Don’t run the setup step as you’re continuing with existing node data.
