Is only one node per one IP address?

I think in the future possible to create second node. What is the better way, to encreace HDD space or make second node? And is it possible to make two nodes at one IP address?

yes, generally it is not a problem, they will get amount of data as one node, in all other aspects they are separate.

Hello, I have some questions.

  1. Can I buy 4tb HDD and copy from my used 900gb HDD partition to new HDD and then run it in my node? Is it ok or is it not possible?

  2. My UPS works with speed 8 ms. How long time my node can be offline without problems? Can my UPS make that STORJ ecosystem will not fix that there was a little offline about 8 - 10 ms of time?

  3. If my PC is broken and I need about a one day to be offline to repair it in this way will my earned funds lost?

Regards.

  3. Your earning will not be lost because of 1 day of downtime, but your node will be penalized: while your node is offline, the pieces which it holds are considered as unhealthy, so if the repair worker got triggered, these pieces will be recovered to the other more reliable nodes and as soon as you bring your node online, these pieces will be deleted from your node. So longer you offline, the more stored data will be removed from your node. See

In general, your node can be disqualified in three main cases:

  1. Your node have more than 5% of lost pieces (lost access to pieces, lost pieces or corrupted them).
  2. Your node were more than 30 days offline (or too many offline periods during 30 days review).
  3. Your node is failed to transfer more than 10% pieces during Graceful Exit.
