Is Storj ready for IPv6?

Just wondering with the approach of IPv6, how will this affect the /24 subnet separation? Will storj use /64?

IPv6 questions pop up a couple times per year (but nobody searches the forum to read all the previous answers  ). The short one is that Storj isn’t seeing enough IPv6 demand from paying customers… so even if nodes could use IPv6 they would still be required to have IPv4 (so the same IPv4/24 rules could be used to direct traffic).

I seem to remember Storj telling us their architecture is ready for v6 though. So maybe one day… ?

Yes, it uses /64 for IPv6. IPv6-only nodes are not supported because it will split the network, but you can configure a dual-stack, i.e. having a public IPv4 is a mandatory requirement: most of customers still uses IPv4.
