Its only stupid for me or it is just stupid?

SSD with database was dead had to make a new node about 60 days ago…
i was happy how fast it filled up just to see its all getting deleted again now:

if it wouldnt be “free” money for me i would shutdown all my 7 nodes… was under 10TB free in total now back to more than 26TB free… really stupid imo

What exactly is “stupid” about it?

I have seen the same thing. I commented seperately before seeing your note. My node gaind 10 TB over the first 4 weeks … it is now continuely loosing data. I am down to just over 6 and falling. It appears contrived or artificial the way that data is moved around on my node. There is a lack of transparency in all of this.

I don’t understand this.
Have you been reading this forum at all?
Are you not aware of the test data and network stress testing that has been happening (and is currently paused)?

Not stupid: well-discussed in these forums. It takes time for paying customers to fill the space in all the nodes. Patience

Hi ACarneiro - If you have to go to the forum to find out these things you are finding out after the fact. We should be directly advised by storj. I get en email if my node goes off line, but they can not send an email to advice of stress testing?
Thanks in any case for your reply, even if a little defensive.
I appreciate your patience with us noobs Rozor! I wil try and learn some as well.

I think someone said somewhere that you can subscribe to the announcements category. I can’t help you do that since I don’t know exactly what they meant

Edit : maybe you click that “bell”

You are absolutely right and I am sorry I was a bit “aggressive”.
I felt slightly irked by your implication that Storj were withholding information for some nefarious purposes when everything is in plain sight.
I made the cardinal mistake of hitting “Send” before allowing 5 minutes to elapse. My apologies once again.

It’s an every day struggle.

Yes, the uncollected garbage is getting deleted from the nodes finally, and my nodes pretty happy to have a free space again, which is immediately filling up again, but more slower than before.
The testing is currently stopped, we awaiting for these customers when they finally would start to upload. Perhaps they have some problems with their current providers (I think it’s one of the reason why they choose Storj, but not quote on me, it’s my personal guess).

I personally would expect the storm in any second (because I do not have any insights), but one of my node is still processing the latest 4 BFs, so it’s pretty busy now, so it would be better for it, if it would finish the housekeeping before we got a full load…
