Missing notification emails before node disqualification

Hi everyone,

I have just discovered that I lost my oldest node, running since 2022.

The host PC had been powered off since April 29, and the node was eventually disqualified by all satellites.

To my surprise, I did not receive any Offline, Suspension, or Disqualification emails for this node before it was disqualified. The last email I received regarding this node was a “Your Node is Back Online” notification on April 15, 2026.

I use a custom domain hosted by Mail.ru and checked all folders, including Spam.

To verify whether notifications are still working, I have just taken another node offline:

I will wait and see whether an Offline notification arrives.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues with Mail.ru recently? Could someone from Storj check whether notification emails were actually sent for the first node?

You are correct, I don’t see DQ emails since May 1, 2026. Reported to the team.

Update:

I took another node offline for testing:

The node has been offline long enough to trigger an Offline notification in the past, but I have not received any email for it either.

This seems to be affecting more than just Disqualification emails.

Perhaps you have received it already. Could you please check a whole mailbox?

I checked the mailbox again and found that Offline notifications were delivered correctly from all satellites for the test node.

After that, I brought the node back online. The node has been online again for several hours now, but I have not received any Back Online notifications yet.

It may take a time for the satellite email queue to discover it, I would like to suggest to use an external monitoring software for sure:

Would it be useful if I continue to report whether I receive (or do not receive) future Offline, Back Online, Suspension, or Disqualification notifications during my testing?

Hopefully I won’t have to report the last one.
