Storj Bronze - The current global network of SNOs
Storj Silver - The current Select network
Storj Gold - Every node is run by a Storj employee
Storj Platinum - Same as Gold, except Ben Golub also keeps a copy of your data on LTO at his house, as cold storage

But within one region customer data is distributed across multiple datacenters?
So what Storj actually is simply not doing is to distribute the Select data across data centers world wide?
Interesting, because this is exactly not the upload fast in one region, download fast in another region approach where Storj excels. So SOC2 and global distributed workflows do not align well with Storj Select.
Depends on customersโ requirements, some distributed across several datacenters, some not. However, most customer data in Storj Select is region specific.
As I said - Storj Select is a different product. SOC2 does not limit global distribution, but customer requirements do.
If the customer want to have a global distribution, but do not require SOC2, it will be suggested to use Storj Global.
