Node goes offline

Hi. I haven’t checked to my server for the last 3 days. But then I check it today, and can see storJ node has been down for at least 2 days for me.

Now I try to restart it, but it won’t start. I have tried several time to restart node and computer. did not work.

I use NOIP and my subscription needed a renewal. But did not help either.

Today I changes my ISP, but should not be a problem? i installed the new router after the crash down of node.

What do you need of info from me to tell me whats wrong ?

What OS do you use?

My guess would be port forwarding/dynDNS problems if the ISP has changed. You should check the logs:

Yes, I could be correct. Your node is not contactable on the address and port it is reporting…

Check the port forwarding rules
Check the public IP
Check the public IP matches the one shown in the router WAN settings/info
Check your node hasn’t changed private (internal) IP

I have open port in the ned router. But that did not help.

How do i check if the IP has changes internal? and what to do then?

Did you configure NOIP within the new router?

The IP is synchronized with NOIP.

Did you test your port forwarding? Open Port Check Tool - Test Port Forwarding on Your Router

If 89.150.136.249 is your current ip and 28967 your configured port. It’s not working.

I’m not sure what IP connection you have. Kan jeg få en fast IP? - Hiper Hjælp say you can order a free dynamic IP or paid static IP. Do you maybe have a CG-NAT ipv4 now?

I think i have an dynamic IP. But I have order an Public IP. But they did not deliver it with the new ISP. I need to call them on Monday.

dynamic ip should not affect anything other than making sure No-IP is getting the new ip everytime it changes.

have you definitely checked the Router has the port forwarding configured?

Check if you WAN IPv4/IPv6 shown in your router is the same as your public IP.
If it is it should work. Dynamic or static don’t matter.
If not you probably have CGNAT and it won’t. At least not the direct way.

Edit: hiper.dk is your ISP or is it not?
If yes here they state you get a native ipv6 and CGNAT IPv4 if you don’t order a dyn or static one.

As i thought you can’t connect your node with CGN IPv4 till you get your new IPv4 or you have to use IPv6. You won’t get much if any data but your node should stay online this way till you get your IPv4.
