Node send to have difficulty connecting to eu?

Hey there,

I have a node I recently put up at home, on a European 2.5gbpsfiber connection.
I’m using docker desktop on windows to run it.
I have forwarded the correct ports (as far as I can tell) on my isp’s router.
The node shows online, quic ok. To me that should mean all is fine.
When looking at the node however I see the eu connection is at 50% for uptime while the others are way higher. The others are not good, mind you. I had some trouble getting it connected.

It is one of 4 nodes on that same machine. The other nodes seem perfectly fine.
Do I need to troubleshoot this? And if so, where do I start?

Thanks in advance!

If you just setup a node – the online status may be volatile, especially if node was on/off for the duration of setup.

However do make sure you actually have connectivity consistently, ensure you are using reliable DDNS provider, and that there is no any network security software, anti-ddos, suricata, etc, selectively blocking traffic in the way.

100% on saltlike does not mean anything – there is virtually no traffic from that satellite.

Online scores are averages over 30 days. So if you’ve just just started the node (and maybe took some time to get port-forwarding correct)… I’d just wait a couple days to see if the score improves.

Thanks for the replies!
A day later the numbers are a lot better now. Looks like it will be fine.

Speaking of Saltlake satellite, one of my most old nodes was running on a broken drive, and got disqualified on all other satellites, except for Saltlake.

I keep the node online now, because of sentimental value - but it does only hold 5GB
